The construction work next to Baan Samui Resort (03/14/06 to 12/10/06)
Refurbishment Work at Baan Samui Resort
Since the construction of neighboring property located next to Baan Samui Resort has occurred on 15 March 2006. The resort found that their occupancy quite slightly down day by day. So the resort management has decided to out come of product development plan in order to upgrade all of facilities to facilitate the valuable clients for forth coming winter.
The major plan is all room upgrade by refurbishment and new installation of spit type air-conditioning each room. There has no heavy construction was involved, all furniture done from out-side and build-in on spot. The work in progress will be 10 rooms within 14 days, separate by zoning area which isn’t interfere direct through the clients during stay. There just only some noise will be involved.
Please be assured that during this difficult time, the resort management shall pay the utmost attentions to see to it that only minimal disturbance shall effect clients. Room assignment shall be done carefully so that clients will be far apart from the work area as much as possible. Complaints or displeasure if any will be dealt with on the spot in the order to have possible issues corrected while clients still with Baan Samui Resort. Please find below the refurbishment schedule:
• Phase I
Date: 15 May 2006 – 10 July 2006
Time: 10.00 hrs.-17.00 hrs.
• Phase II
Date: 16 September 2006 – 10 December 2006
Time: 10.00 hrs.-17.00 hrs.
In the meantime, the resort assure that all facilities are fully operational as before and that the working zone is completely separate from clients’ area so there will not be any unsightly scene involved. However, the completion date is expected by 15 December 2006.
Construction Work at Neighboring Property
Baan Samui Resort has been informed that there will be a construction of some bungalows taking place at the unoccupied lot next door. It is clearly not for own hotel nor for own benefit. It started last 15 March 2006. The completion date will be advised until further notice from the neighboring property.
A disturbing noise may have been experienced or encountered by the guests during the first week of the construction. This is because of the digging as a start of their process. A back hole machine was used for this. The resort believed that it will not occur again since it was only necessary for the start of work. The materials that the builders are using now are small scale equipments and will not cause disturbing noise.
Before the start of the construction, Baan Samui Resort has negotiated the hours of work for the construction. The resort demanded that it should only be from 8:00 – 17:00 hrs. Although everyday or daily work will be the scheduled. Construction can be viewed from the 2nd and 3rd floors only. Moreover, there has a wood walled fence dividing Baan Samui Resort and the other property. It is also for the safety and protection of the guests. Any public facilities, such as the swimming pool, beach, lobbies and restaurants are not affected at all. These can be used without inconvenience. Overall, the only uncontrollable factor is the noise, which we believe will only occur during daytime. Baan Samui Resort is truly regretful for any inconvenience that this may cause and hoping for kind understanding.
