1. Depends how much time you have - fly direct from Phuket to Koh Samui, then minibus/taxi to catch ferry to Haad Rin; or, bus from Phulet to Surat Thani; transfer to bus to Don Sak ferry terminal, then ferry to Nathon pier, Koh Samui. Then catch fast ferry to Thong Sala, Koh Pha Ngan and taxi to Haad Rin.
2. You will need to book your accommodation in advance, as the island gets crowded around Full Moon. I am including a link to a website that lists many guesthouses etc. (You will need to remove the spaces.)Hope this helps, and enjoy your holiday!
