Belaire Princess is at the end of Suk. Soi 5. This is a narrow but quite busy street with lots of taxis using it as a cut-through.
There's a good supermarket, several internet/overseas call shops, travel agents, massage shops and a large bar-restaurant with outdoor terrace right on the street.
In the small streets between here and Soi 3, there are lots of Middle Eastern businesses - restaurants, sheesha places etc.
Although quite an interesting area, I'd say it isn't one of the best choices if you've got youngsters with you... it's more geared to adult entertainment and somewhat noisy.
Perhaps the Pathumwan Princess would suit your needs more........ direct access to shopping mall(with cinema) and also the BTS, quite near Paragon Centre (with the aquarium). The hotel doesn't seem to attract lots of young males out for a good time, but more couples, families and older singles. Price wise it's in about the same range as Belaire.
