back again this October for 14 nights, with a heap of friends!! We were regular Bali travellers but made a very quck decision to swap to Phuket last October. Stayed at the Patong Merlin and had a fabulous time. This Resort is in a central location, close to lots of fabulous Resturants & Bars.(No problem finding a bar to watch sport).
Definately go with the pool view rooms; there are three huge pools, all connected together.Make sure that you have brekkie included, they have a full on breakfast each day. We didn't eat any other meals at the Resort as it was quite pricey compared to all of the other great places to eat. There is a Supermarket next door so stock up on you drinks and nibbles from there. The Merlin has a "Cocktail hour" each night - buy 1 get 1 free - a good start to your night out.
Although the Patong Merlin is across the road from the beach, we found Kata and Karon Beaches less crowded and a lot cleaner.
