This from an Aussie couple in their fiftys I would not stay anywhere else and we are not people who go to bars and are into a heavy night life I just like the area. We have friends coming with us this year that have also been before and they also love patong It is so central to everything shopping, beaches and good restaurants.I ask you what more could you ask for. If you don't want the hussel. You can stay in you hotel area they have great pools and go out when like. For me give me Patong anyday and I love the people I feel so priveledge to be able to come to this lovely place,could never afford to have at home.In end it is up to the individual on what they like, so I hope I have helped you out in some way we are going in July for 3 weeks and I can't wait.
