i felt apprehensive, having stayed at the other quieter Phuket beaches too, but had a lovely time up the northern end,of Patong quieter beaches near the Novotel, and walked up to the busy end for eating and shopping and nightlife.... that was during Chinese New year.If you want both of the above,its a goer...beach was lovely lots of er ,largeish older ,'cooked' Europeans who made me feel like a supermodel (and I'm no oilpainting) bless em ,they let it all hang out....
