July is a good time weather wise for Samui,unfortunately for you it`s one of the higher priced periods for Samui.
Is it vitally important that you both stay at the same resort? as I read in your other post that there is a difference in what you & your daughter price range.
Here`s an option for you,Chaweng Resort for you (abt 2500 thb) & Seascape resort (1400 thb )for your daughter.These 2 resorts are about 200 metres apart.I have stayed at Chaweng Resort 3 times & recommend it also my friend owns Samui Beach Apartments which co-share all facilities with Seascape so I do know that resort well,the bungalows at Seascape are nothing flash but pretty good value at 1400 Thb & would be ok for you also if you have to stay together.
