Bali Bomber Executions, good, neccessary or bad?

What do you think? Was the execution of these "men" a good thing, something that had to be done, or something bad for everyone?

My personal take is it was bad, maybe very bad. Although I have no love for these murderers, at all, I am against the death penalty anyway, I wonder if these men might one day have realized their crimes / sins and repented, whether this shows an ugly racially motivated duplicitous side of westerners (do not execute westerners in Indonesia but it is OK to execute Asians), whether it sends a signal to Jakarta that executions are OK (so they will say "If it is OK for the bombers, it is OK for Australia's drug mules"), and whether this creates martyrs and the incentive for yet more atrocities to come. Again, I have absolutely no love for this scum, but...................
