Member Colonel Mustard requested a Myanmar Travel Forum be created, as he had read in local Cambodian media that it is tipped to be an up-and-coming destination in the next few years as it opens up. I haven't been to Myanmar myself, but I have read about the place (I considered going there but ruled it out at the time) so can offer only limited advice based on my knowledge. Happy posting!

I understand there might not be a wealth of info out there yet but hopefully it will be built up over time.

As I understand it, the government there is trying hard to clean up its act in terms of corruption and transparency. As that happens, foreign business will be more willing to move in and the economy there could really pick up. They have to be careful how they go about it but hopefully they can learn from the mistakes of some of their neighbours! It's there for the taking.
