I've just signed up to do a 5-day trek through the Malaui Basin in Borneo from the 12th March. Has anyone had experience in this area? It looks beautiful!
It all seems really above board and organised. AND CHEAP! Let me know if you are keen to join - I think there are still a few spots left. Well worth a look if you're planning on being in Borneo around then anyway...
U mean Maliau Basin...yep its a great place...but there are others more extreme jungle trekking if u're up to it like the "The Salt Trail" also in borneo...
Ive only been to Kota Kinabalu, but it was worth it. If you visit Borneo I recommend it! A tough hike to the peak of the mountain, but the view is fantastic. But I don't recommend staying near the mountains, the hostels are crappy and expensive.
