i think maybe it depends where you want to go in Malaysia. I believe the monsoon season hits the est coast and south borneo from october to march. so the perhentian islands close from later october to february. I've always been advised that the best time to travel in malaysia in general from april until October.

The best time to visit Malaysia is the beginning of December to the end of January. The second peak season falls in the months of June, July, and August.

Enjoy your trip.

Though, tourists visit the Malaysia throughout the year but two peak seasons brings lot celebrations in Malaysia. The first season lasts from December to January and second season lasts from June to Auguest. If you are a Christian then I would recommend the first peak season that witness the celebrations of Christmas, New year’s day and Chinese New Year etc.

Oct-Mar. It may be the monsoon or rainy season but you'll die with the elevated temperature combined with almost 100% humidity if you travel there during the summer months.

It is now the rainy season on the east coast, so many of the beautiful islands, like The Perhentians are inaccessible. I would reckon next year would be better, after the rainy season.

Hey,
If you plan to visit Malaysia, try to avoin the monsoon season; normally the raining season from early Nov - end Feb. During this period, the islands in the east coast of Peninsula Malaysia such as Perhentian and Redang Islands will be shut.
