Default sorry to be a painful newcomer..

hi guys,

sorry to be a painful newcomer..
My hubby, I and children 14yrs, 12yrs and 8yrs, will be in Malaysia flying into KL on the 22/12.
Having never been before could I have a few ideas on where to stay for a week - would prefer an apartment or villa so we don't have to eat out all the time.
Also places of interest to see or do.
My hubby would like to visit anything to do with the war , museums...

Any help at all would be appreciated..

Thanks in advance

Hi,

If you're looking for an apartment type of accommodation and the cost is not an issue, you may try to get in touch with Prince Hotel Service Apartment; (request the apartment instead of the standard hotel room type). The apartment is rather spacious with an ensuite room, large area of living hall, dining table and a small kitchenette area.

One of the attractions visiting Malaysia is to feast yourself with variety of foods available here. Anyway, if that causes inconvenience, you may prepare your dish at the apartment. The Prince Hotel is just a stone-throw away from the Pavillion Shopping Center. I would recommend you to try have some meals at its food-court on Level 1 (the entrance to the shopping mall is Level 3, so it's quite confusing if you might think the entrance refers to Level 1 )

If you need more information, you may get some info from the hotel you stay or you could visit MATIC (malaysia tourism office) at Jalan Ampang, next to the Zouk club and Saloma Restaurant.

I think if you are bringing kids, you can check out if the Sunway area has any accomodations. Its a nice area that has a huge shopping complex, as well as a theme park for the kids.

Cheers!
