However, still you want to sources to get entertain then head to KL, believe me it’s a great city…

it is only 6 hours, this is considered normal transit time especially when you travel with kids.

Was in transit in Kuala Lumpur... entitled to lounge use during my transit in KL offered by priority pass. Simple lounge... with friendly staff... if i'm not mistaken, i saw someone paying at the counter. would like to confirm it is open for non member too?

Default child in transit

Hi
my 15 year old daughter is gonna be in transit alone in KL for 7 hours. I´ve only ever experienced european airports before - is the transit lounge in KL a safe place for an unaccompanied minor to be? Any reccommendations or advice where she could kill the time and not be hassled? Where might she be able to get an affordable (teenage budget!) snack? Think we can probably rule out airport shopping (again, teenage budget!)
thanks

Default a lot of questions :-)

I'm new here, so first of all, hello everyone!!

I will be transiting in KLIA in December for 6 hours, and I was wondering if it was possible to get out of the airport to quickly visit friends in KL: is it permitted? And… is there enough time?

I know there’s a shuttle but can’t remember how much time it takes from KLIA to KL and back.

Furthermore, I'm French and will be travelling with a Vietnamese friend. Do you know if we need visas to transit? And to enter Malaysia?

Thanks in advance to anyone who will answer any of these questions

Oh and by the way, I used to be alone in KLIA all the time as a teenager; I think it’s pretty safe

KLIA airport is amazing. It's totally safe to be there while transiting.

I think it's permitted, if it is. You could catch the ERL train that would quickly take you to the Sentral station. From there you could pretty much go to anywhere within KL. Pretty nice and convenient.

There are lots of duty free shops available there so you can keep browsing around the area to search for some cheap goodies..
