Cool 14 day Japan Rail Pass Itinerary

Hi, I'm travelling SE Asia April 20th - June 20th. On June 20th I fly into Hiroshima airport and plan on making my own way up, using JR pass, to Tokyo when I depart on 5th July.

Really need some tips on using JR pass, whether I will actually need the 14 day one or a 7 day one? Cities/Places to visit along the way? And how to best access Mt Fuji from the west side (not Tokyo side)

thanks so much for any help you can give me. Also if you could point me to any good websites that might answer my questions is great.

Thanks
