Default Experiences concerning ”Owners Abroad in Thailand”

Experiences concerning ”Owners Abroad in Thailand”

Because of Christmas time we decided to rent a real luxury villa (with luxury price) in Hua Hin by Owners Abroad in Thailand. Unfortunately there was nothing luxury. Almost nothing matched with website information.
Website description was: local restaurants and shops nearby - In reality there was one beachside bar open 10.00am – 5.00 pm., and no shops. To nearest shops (we did not find any) and restaurants (there was one in connection with hotel) you could not go by walking (streets without lights and any walking road).
Website description was: There is internet connection and laundry service available (at the communal area). There were neither of those.
Website description was: There is an European kitchen. – There was no owen, no microwave, and not even hot water.
Website description was: There is a nice living room, but it was extremely hot at daytime because it has very big windows and no curtains. At the evening time it was like living in “aquarium”.
There was also one window, that could not be closed, because of wrong assembly, so we could not leave anything important in villa (look pictures below).
Website description was: There is TV, cd-, dvd - players in the living room, but there were none of those.
But there were many things, which were not in the villas description:
Huge amount of ants came in every evening (because they had space of their own under the closed stairs). We killed them definately thousands (look pictures below).
There was another big problem: There were vent holes without mosquito nets. We got tens of bites (look pictures below).
The toilet door in downstairs could not be locked.
We rented villa for ten days and paid for two extra cleanings. The first cleaning, they tried to do, was at the last day (so, we said: do not bother).
Only thing their customer services worked was, that they brought two cans of ants killing spray which we were supposed to spray by ourselves and they brought new bed lines at the day before last day. And those we were supposed to change by ourselves.
So, this is the real luxury treatment of Owners Abroad in Thailand. So, we can not recommend this agency to anybody, who wants to enjoy his holiday.

Many times we took calls to the manager and he promised to take care of these things, but nothing happened. They even changed the villas description during our staying there and tried to say, there was not anymore those things in description, even though we had those earlier printed versions with us. (look pictures below).

Default Fibuco

Hi Fibuco,

That would have been so disappointing for you. I hope that it did not totally ruin your holiday. Thank you so much for warning everyone on this forum. You would probably be wasting your time but could you contact the owner, possibly but unlikely, he/she may not know of the problems and the way the unit is being advertised.

Regards
Michelle
