Default $5000 to spend on HK, China, Thailand, Singapore, etc

I'm a 22 year-old Korean-American who just graduated from college and am planning my graduation trip with $5,000.
My first destination is Hong Kong where my girlfriend is.

Here's my A-list of places that I definitely want to visit:

Hong Kong
Thailand (Bangkok?)

If I have money, I hope to visit this B-list of places:

Q #1: How plausible is it for me to travel around these places with $5,000?
I hope to go clubbing for 1-2 days in HK, Beijing and Shanghai as well.

Q #2: I also want to go bungee jumping but Macau's tower's $300 bungee jumping experience seems over-priced to me ... any opinions? I feel like I can travel so much with $300 instead of just blowing it on a quick experience of bungee jumping.
Considering that I pay around $1300~$1500 for my flight from NY to HK, so I hope to have around $3,500 from HK.

Q #3: And can anybody tell me about Multi-city trip tickets? I hear they are a great way to fly to different places.

Q #4: Am I paying too much for hotel in Hong Kong, $100/night?

Thank you so much

I plan to travel from late July to September. If anybody needs a traveling buddy, please reply! I speak Korean, Japanese and English.

Knowing travel prices and being in the airline industry, your transportation is going to be the biggest problem.
I would eliminate:
Singapore $$
Macao (you're young--jump when you can easily afford it)
Phuket (maybe you can squeak this in)

I'd concentrate on HKG (hotels are fairly high but can be had for $100) we just spent 9 nts there and it was great--so much to see/do.
and Beijing (if you can get air) Train travel is popular Beijing/Shanghai.
Id make Bangkok a priority for $ and things to do and acess the rest of Thailand from there--even Siem Reap (angkor Wat area)

Well buddy you are smart to graduate college at the age of 22 years however it wont be possible to visit all these place with a budget of $5000. You might want to think to increase your budget somehow or perhaps take few of the places out so that you can visit the places you want in $5000. I wish you all the luck!

Default Cheap Travel

As your gf is in HK I assume you have accommodation there already, as that will be a major expense. To save money, go to Thailand (not to Phuket though - a lot less touristy and more fun places around), Taiwan and mainland China (I would not put Shanghai as my first destination there, the only city you really need to go to is Beijing).

tokyo and Seoul are a lot of fun, but if you are on a budget simply not a good idea. Singapore is a also very expensive and no fun at all, so there is really no point in going.

in my opinion, $5000 may not be enough if $5000 must include airfare. From US to Asia on high season (late July to late August) will cost $1500 round trip. If you travel on low season (Sept - Nov), you can buy for $1000. So that means you are left with $3500-$4000 to play with. Considering that you have to fly to different countries, let say all airfare would total $1000-$1500, so that means you are left with $2000 - $2500 for everything else (food, tourist attraction, etc).

From there ($2000-$2500 leftover), in JP, hotel (capsule, love) would cost $100/night + drinks, etc. If you really want to travel, I suggest go to SE Asia where living cost is cheaper (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia) where your money can go a long way better than JP, HKG, KR

so to summarize, it depends, if you want longer trip, go to SE Asia. If not, $2000-2500 would last you at most a month with the destinations you want to go.
