I went on a holiday to Japan a few weeks ago and came back with a Zojirushi rice cooker.

I am totally pleased with the results from this rice cooker. Definitely recommend this brand.

Another very good rice cooker from Japan is Tiger.

Just be careful when buying Tiger because their very entry level models are Made in China.

Talking I am currently in Hong Kong and want to buy a Zojirushi rice cooker too

Dear tempestv8,

Do you mind revealing the name and address of the shop (and perhaps even the price)? Would be extremely greatfull for a fast answer since I am only staying a few days and cannot find them in Sweden at all...

Thanks in advance,

I bought a rice cooker in China, carried across half the world to proudly put it into my kitchen at home, to just find the same model sold for a lower (!!!) price at a supermarket next door. I think with Chinese migrating all over the world rice cookers are available everywhere and not really worth the hassle to carry one with you on a plane.
At least in MHO....
