Hi all:

Planning trip in short order as I have had some time come up. Wanted to take advantage of peak season. Any ideas?

I was thinking of either South America going to Peru, Brazil, Argentina etc

OR

Asia such as Thailand, Vietnam.

I would want to do about 3 weeks. I could do planes and trains and want to use hostels or couch surfing.

I AM LOOKING FOR ANY AND ALL SUGGESTIONS - Do I need visas? Airfare ideas?

Your help would mean a lot.

I would suggest Vietnam/Thailand

I did 3 weeks there last year and it was brilliant, Vietnam especially has alot to offer and to see, stunning country and great people.
thailand is ok, it was better a few years ago when I was first there but it still has its charm, just leave bangkok after a couple of days

You will need an entry visa for vietnam and they cost about 60 usdollars.

From talking to friends I am leaning towards South America. Any ideas there?

Just to let you know - this is a South East Asia travel forum so you are unlikely to get as much information about South America as you are Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia
