Hi Jaxw

How is the weight loss going, as a person that has been on a diet on and off for over 30 years I am interested in how you are doing.

All the best you will have to show pictures every month or so so we can see how well you are doing.

:)

Hi
I have stalled at 38 pounds but went to see the surgeon last night and he said this is normal and all will start again. hope it'ts soon as patience is not one of my strong points.
Will post some new pics after i have been on holiday to Cuba may have a bit of a tan then LOL.
Looking forward to fitting in the plane seat easier. Not looking forward to Cuba it should be Thailand and all inclusive !!!!!!!!! that was a good move to book not knowing i was going to have this surgery before I went !

Feeling a bit down at the moment. One of my closest friends passed away at the weekend. She had cancer and had beaten it twice but it came back the brain and she just didn't want to fight it. What was difficult was that once she knew about this last bout some three months ago she literally locked the door and drew the curtains and didn't want to see or talk to anyone except partner and kids (grown up now). Whilst respecting that it was hard that we couldn't even say goodbye but everyone deals with these things in their own way.

She wouldn't even see her only grandchild in the last three weeks as I think it was too hard for her to deal with what she would be missing out on. Funeral on Monday and that will be hard.

Also found out today that one of my cousins that I am close to has cancer and this is particularly hard as her grandson (my second cousin?) was diagnosed with leukemia last April and is still going through chemo.

Sorry Jax, bet you wished you never asked the question! Also sorry as I don't mean to depress everyone but it does help to talk about it.

What a rotten time for all of you. I don't suppose any of us can say how we would react unless it happened to us.
This all just re-enforces how this is not a dress rehearsal and you have to take everything that you can. When you find out you are going to die, if you find out, it is too late then to do all those things that you wanted.
Live the dream don't dream the dream
Hence my signature.
