When you make a new posting, all your old ones are amended to show the new number of postings.

Yeah I know, sad or what but I'm getting near a 100 and being an addict so am trying to find interesting things to say (and I have honestly only just noticed this)

I actually have been trying to find what is called an "add-on" so your signature does not change (that is, you can have a signature one week and another the next, where the posts with the original signature keep the original if you see what I mean). Also I think many people find the total posts confusing as I think it should be the number of that particular post which is displayed - maybe if you have done 100 posts and this one is number 96, it should say 96 of 100). But I have not found add-ons to do this yet.
