Default My Dad

I'm going to make this as quick and as painless for me as possible.

Dad passed away, rather unexpectedly, on Wednesday morning at 12.05 am. We were with him throughout the whole day after doctors told us at 10.00 am that he only had hours left.

He lost his inspiring and courageous fight.

I miss him so much. I feel like my heart has broken into a million different pieces...the pain is like nothing I have ever known.

I thought I would let those of you that have been asking after my Pa know and I also thought this would explain my absence from the forum.

Ali

Default I am so sorry

for this news.

I lost my father when he (Dad) was a young man (58).

My kids never had the chance to meet their Poppy - eventhough they talk about him being in Heaven and all.

I hope this makes sense but it sounds like you were with him at the end and said your good byes. Unfortunately when my Dad died I was 3,000 km away and could not do the good bye thing in person, only over the phone - this upset me greatly.

Chin up sweety - I have tears in my eyes as I type this - it is bringing me back some memories that I have been .............. sorry not to be continued.

Larry

This is Dad at the surprise party I threw for him on 2 June 2007 to show him how much love and support he has. He looks amazing and so happy. He'd had a blood transfusion the day before and was feeling better than ever. Hard to believe that was only 6 weeks ago now.

Sorry to hear your sad news Ali. Your Dad does look so happy and healthy. The only thing to help get through it is remember the good times you had together......

So sorry to hear your news Ali, at least you were all with him.

You will have all your memories and these will keep you going through the difficult times ahead. My worst time seemed to be around 4.00am when I always seemed to wake up and not be able to go back to sleep again.

Will raise a glass to his memory and one to you to be strong.

Hi Ali
Please except my sincere condolences. Your dad looked liked a 'Grand man' he was lucky to have you as his daughter.
