In may I am planning to go for a short trip to Beijing and surroundings. Does anybody know the good place to stay in Beijing, and the best way to see the Great Wall - should I organize myself or use the travel agency ?

Sorry can't help you there but thought about this myself. I think that i would lean towards a tour.

I would go for the tour as well. I am not sure China like people thinking for themselves (that's me banned for life then!)
