Good on you Jaxw! Well done. It'll be much easier coping with the heat I expect when you come back and you'll be able to use them footbridges across busy roads in BKK next time.... no more risking your life sprinting through the traffic!!

I find that eating a traditional Thai diet is a good way of keeping the weight down without having to deprive yourself...it's cheap, delicious and fills you up without adding flab. Just avoid deep fried stuff and go easy on the beer!

Eating spicy rice soup for breakfast is an acquired taste mind you....

the food has always been really good for me before when I have been. can't drink beer now ( cries tears of frustration) can cope with wine no problem but don't like thai wine and as you know the other is so expensive with the tax.
I have never noticed before but can you get tomato juice?
It will certainly be easier to get around this time especially at the time of year that we are going.
Nice to hear from you fio.

No beer??? Gosh, I'd be crying too! Yup tomato juice is widely available.

And vodka.

And gin.
