My dream

Posted 11-20-2007 at 03:42 PM by jaxw17
I would love to lose all this weight that i am carting around - it is happening too. Be fit and well and travel. We never did it when we were young. You just did not I am 50 and the most exciting thing you did back then was work in a holiday camp for a season.
I dream of taking off mainly Asia. i don't want to "do" India and I know a lot will say you are not proper traveller but I am old enough now not to bother what people think.
I am also too old to totally rough it and would not want to.
None of us know how long we have on this earth and we owe it to ourselves to do the best for ourselves as long as it does not hurt others.
Can live some of the dreams through others on this forum and love the reports and the views of others.
I have travelled a lot over this last few years but not been well enough to appreciate it. My life may be begining again who knows.
24lb's and 27.5 inches down. Who knows ?

I'm 54 and lost about 22 Kg just over 3 years ago now and the difference it makes when travelling is quite significant - little things like fitting into economy class seats, surviving the heat of Asia, buying 'free size' clothes or fitting into an Asian XL size.

I'm also past caring about the 'cool' thing to do and anyone that sets out to 'do' a country I think is either quite young or a bit of a tosser.

March 2007 was Thailand, October 2007 was KL, Portugal and Siem Reap. In late March 2008 I returned from Phnom Phen and have just booked my flights to Vietnam for early October 2008.

The weight loss will certainly help with your energy levels, motivation and self confidence.

All the best.
