Default Ubud Inn still nice?

Our family stayed at the Ubud Inn many years ago and had a lovely time. Back then it was surrounded by rice fields. Has anyone stayed there in the last few years? We are planning a trip to Bali in March and are wondering if the Ubud Inn is still a good hotel. Any other suggestions for good hotels in Ubud are welcome!

Default Ubud Bungalows

I was in Ubud for a couple of weeks in July 2006. There are not many rice fields left in town. I stayed at a place called Ubud Bungalows which was beautiful and very reasonable. I would recommend it highly. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Where is Ubud Inn located? Which end of town?
Cheers, David

Thumbs up Ubud Inn

Ubud Inn is still great value for the money, especially for family rooms. The garden areas are a pleasure to walk through, but the best part is that the staff are excellent. If you have more money you might consider Pertiwi or Ubud Village Hotel about 300m north, but you can't beat Ubud Inn for value, freindly staff, and great location.

yes i've heard it's still nice after all those years but i haven't tried it myself. maybe you could consider staying at Pita Maha A Tjampuhan Resort & Spa, I stayed there for a couple of days when I was in Indonesia and I had a great time.

David,

I consulted my dog-eared Lonely Planet and discovered Ubud Inn is just down the hill from Three Monkeys on the same side of Monkey Forest Road. Must have walked past it many times! Perhaps you can have a look on your next visit.

Craig, just may have enough time to do that. At this stage my trip this July is on a one-way ticket as I still haven't booked the return!

David.
