Question Brahma Vihara Monastery (Buddhist Monastery)

Dear All,

Has anyone been to the Buddhist Monastery in Banjar? Did you have to make an appointment to visit and did you receive blessings / teachings from the resident Bhikku (head monk)? Additionally, are there many steps or in other words is it suitable for disabled travellers? Sorry, and can anyone give an estimate on the travel time to there from Legian?
Many thanks in advance. Sharon.

Thumbs up Seeing the monks

Tourists or visitors do not have to make an appointment to visit the Buddhist Monastery. There is no blessing or teaching from the Buddhist monk on regular day, teaching and blessing are only be done on Buddhist holiday.

There are many steps to go to the main building so it's quite difficult for disable people. It takes around 2.5 to 3 hours from Legian.

Actually my friend Chandra sent this reply as he has not yet worked out how to post!!
