Smile Another newbie

Hi all, Have just booked my Bali trip for Jan 08, went last 10yrs ago so expecting lots of changes. By my name It will be no surprise that I am always dreaming about when my next holiday may be and have had an urge to repeat my Bali experience (with my kidsthis time) for a long while now.
A bit nervous about the drug stuff and bags and whether to get plastic wraped at airport. Was nervous about safety but on discussion with girls at work I realise I take just as much risk driving to work each day !!
Have been browsing about 4 different forums for last month and most seem to be made up of terrific people with great advice. Have had my head bitten of once at a not to be mentioned currently kerplunked site so not too eager to have that happen again. I have many weeks left to travel (about 6 paydays yikes!!) but Im not really counting !! so I do have lots more questions but I will try not to hassle you too much or bore you all.
Mostly of course I will have to get rid of the 'virgin' outlook as soon as possible !! It sure doesnt feel comfortable !!
cheers Deb

welcome debsdream!!!!
i also have recently joined this forum and have now lost my virginity-just reply to a few posts and you will quickly lose your virginity!!!
i have been to bali a few times but my husband has not been for 21 years and we have booked to go back in june 08-I cant wait he is a little hesitant-got bali belly last time! he did all the right things-i was slack and even ate off the carts back then!!!
listen to the girls at work, you cant put your life on hold because of something that could happen anywhere in the world anytime and for you to be there when it does happen would be next to a miracle!!!
im not convinced that plastic wrapping you bags is and effective solution to the "drug stuff" either-i just used cable ties last trip to keep my family happy but who knows!!!
dont worry about boring me-im addicted the anything bali so fire away! im sure someone out there can help???

Hi Deb

My Husband travelled to Bali last year and had an absolutley fantastic time for 3 weeks. Where do you plan to stay? We dont have children but met lots of families while there who seemed to be loving it too. There's such a great vibe over there, wish the people in Manchester could be as nice as the Balinese!!

Happy Travels!
