Hello everyone first post on the forum. Have been to Bali a few times but not since the second incident. Heading over with the folks and kids and considering staying at the Hotel Vila Lumbung. Anyone stayed their? Looking for something a little out of Kuta but not too far and trying to avoid the big hotels. They have a 3 bedroom Villa and that is the one we are considering.

Your comments would be appreciated.

I've never stayed here but it does look lovely.

It is in Jl. Petitenget which is the Seminyak area. It's quite some distance from Kuta but taxi's are cheap and they probably have a shuttle bus. This area is getting more developed and there are some great restaurants close by. Jl. Petitenget turns into the Oberoi Road and there are a number of restaurants there to choose from plus a supermarket. There are also some great places along Jl. Petitenget and if you enjoy walking it's not necessary to always get transport. Not too far to get to the shops in Jl. Raya Kerobokan/Seminyak or to the beach.

Ku De Ta Restaurant is at the Oberoi end of Jl. Petitenget and with a beach front location it's a great place for lunch as well as dinner.
