Hi Trebler,

Tegal Sari is a great place to stay, especially considering the price! We stayed there in August 2005. We usually stay at the west end of the area in Penestanan and love it there. Our preference is the be at the Campuan/ Penestanan end of town having experienced both but that is personal preference! There will be as many views on where to stay as there are forum members!

Don't know the other places but would like to some time . There is no end to different experiences in Bali!

The virgin status doesn't seem to last long around here, but can't advise how many posts it takes.

Regards,

David

Bali Palm

thanks for that info david.
i am now thinking of alternatives to hai tide huts on lembongan-remembered the steep stairs and having to get down them in the middle of the night to go to the loo-a bit of a pain with my arthritic knees and bladder lol!.
when i was there 3 years ago we ate several meals at the mushroom beach bungalows restaurant-also had a look at the accomodation there and it looked pretty ok-basic but clean and friendly-has anyone stayed there lately??
would prefer to stay on mushroom beach. coconut beach hotel too far up hill for me! lembongan resort too pricey!any comments or advice???

As I am a bit of a LegianLover I can only comment on the KP Resort.

It is a rather large place if you like that kinda thing but the location is just perfect eg right on the beach on Blue Ocean Road within walking distance of all the "local" shopping you will need and close to many great restuarants. The KP's Italian restaurant over looking the beach had very nice food, great prices and very clean toilets - I was only there a couple of weeks ago.

In relation to your "Virgin Status" the following is the number of posts you need to get to the next level:

Travelforum Virgin 0
Travelforum Newbie 5
Travelforum Member 20
Travelforum Regular 100
Travelforum Addict 200
Travelforum On The Brain 500
Travelforum Fossil 1000

So I think you only need one more post to become a Newbie as opposed to a Virgin.

Cheers Larry.

Lightbulb Hey Trebler
