we LOVE the beach and I also love legian-have stayed at the padma, alum kul kul and jayakarta in legian on previous trips-hubby has not been to bali for 26 years and on that visit we stayed in sanur at the bali beach hotel which was badly damaged by fire some years back and is called something else now-we did a few day trips around the island then but sooooo much has changed-i think he will like legian area as opposed to the craziness of kuta. i have now made all of my bookings for our trip-got really good deals for everything in my opinion.

7 nights kumala pantai-legian
5 nights tegal sari-ubud
5 nights puri raja-legian
decided to just do day trip to lembongan-i stayed here for a few nights on my last trip and got a little bored so think hubby would too-but would love to go back and show him the island and do a little snorkelling-this was fantastic on our last trip-i was amazed at the amount of sealife-have not seen as much at barrier reef or on our thailand trip-things may have changed however!

Sorry I owe you a post.

I started something a little while ago about whether you and your hubbie liked the beach, in Legian.

I will try and follow this up in a couple of days when I revise my notes from the last trip.

Sorry I am not giving much info away but all will come together sooner rather than later - ok, cats abit out of the bag, its about shopping on the beach.
