Question Safe and Ethical Resorts

I would like to plan a trip to Bali but was hesitant because of the past terrorist attacks, but now it seems no where is really safe. After looking at Fugly Bali site I discovered the unethical hotels/resorts. Can anyone tell me if the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa, Le Meridien Nirwana Golf & Spa Resort, Melia Bali Villas & Spa or the Nikko Bali are all in the same area and if the Melia Bali Villas & Spa is the only ethical place to stay at from the resorts listed?

Cool Hmmmmm

If I were going to stay in Bali and stay ethically, that is not staying at any hotel owned or part owned by a notorious Javanese family and / or one with questionable building permits perhaps issues against the better interests of the Balinese generally or the original Balinese land owner, I would never stay at any of the hotels you mentioned, ever. Our reservations site (where all direct earnings go to children's charities) now asks ethics questions of hotels and villas in Bali; Travel Ethos, but many decline to answer!
