Can someone reccommend a nice place to stay in the Siminak area? There will be two of us but we would like a separate place, like a small villa, for one month. Walking distance to the beach and shops and restaurants. I haven't been to Bali since 1986 and know itis totally different now and don't know where to begin.

You havn't given a budget figure so it is a little difficult to suggest individual places. I would suggest you to google accommodation in Seminyak and you will come up with many options to choose from. Canggu, just outside Seminyak might offer cheaper options. When you find somewhere that seems suitable, check the reviews and also see if it is reviewed on Trip Advisor.
