Default 3 days in Bali

Hi

I'm going to be in Bali for 3 days at the start of June and I really would like to cram in as much as possible.
I'm on a fairly low budget (accommodation arranged already) but not too low!
I'm staying in the Kuta area. I understand it's very hectic.
I'm ideally looking to find out what is a 'must see' on Bali, how to get about (I heard you can hire a driver - how much does that cost?), how much does it cost to eat good food..Balinese type and just general info on how to make the most of those 3 days.

Thanks in advance!

Default 3 days in Bali

Greetings Pamital,

My advice is to book a tour either through your hotel or at one of the many tourist counters. Don't bother trying to hire a driver and car, if you've only got three days - it will cost about $50AU for the day and you probably won't get as much out of it as you would with an organized tour. I would suggest a tour that takes you to Kintomani/Mt. Batur, the Mother Temple at Besakih, one of the local markets such as Sukawati or Ubud Market. Different tours will incorporate different places in the one tour. You could book a half day or full day tour.

There are plenty of places to eat and plenty to see around the beach areas of Kuta, Tuban, Legian, Seminyak and beyond so you will be able to wander around as you wish to shop and eat.

Hope your 3 days goes well. Remember to drink only bottled water and only change money at reputable places.....do NOT change money at shops that are offering a better rate than usual such as small leather shops....they will charge commission and rip you off. Also, don't forget your insect repellant.

Enjoy

Catherine

Thanks for that..

Can you tell me roughly how much these tours cost? That sounds like a good idea.

Default Places in bali

There are sooo many awesome places to stay in Bali, and all very cheap for what they are! I would highly recommend going to learn surfing at Kuta beach I believe it is, and a journey to the monkey forest.
