1 USD is about 8700 IDR, if you buy from forex dealer on the street you neeed to be very cautious, they are better than David Copperfield.

Prices as of February 2011 , :)

(according to my shopping docket )
Large Bintang beer 620ML : Rp 23.000 It can be a little cheaper in the bigger supermarket like Bintan supermarket :) , about Rp21.000 i think
Vodka mix (lolly drink ) 275ml Rp20,000 / btl
Tim Tam choc biscuits ( for Aussies oioioi :) ) : Rp 10,000
copy DVD Movie : Rp 10,000, and usually you buy 10, Get 1 Free ( in Kuta, Seminyak area , and Nusa Dua as well ) / Rp 15,000 and buy5 , get 1 free ( in Sunur , Ubud )

Massage 1h Oil massage ( Balinese / Swedish etc) Rp 50,000 to Rp 60,000
( I found that spas charges Rp60,000 were lot cleaner , provides better facilities and better massage! ah Rp10,000 made a big difference...... )
In my memory, i used to pay lot more in Nusa Dua .. Rp80,000 or more

Transport (not metre taxi ) from Sunur to Ubud : Rp 125,000 (after 5min bargaining )
Metre Taxi trip from Seminyak to Kuta Rp18,000 - Rp20,000

Tshirt : Normal tourist t-shirt : Rp10,000 to Rp15,000 (Kids) , Rp20,000-Rp 30,000 (Adult)
Tip : Things are more pricey in the Big market ' Bazaar style ' stalls in the main tourist area such as Kuta , Ubud art market etc ,
its understandable because they pay the rent for the space.
Look for shops off the main tourist area , they sell exactly the same stuff but more eager for business and you get good deals !
