Question Purchasing prescription glasses

Hi all; Can anyone please recommend a place where we can purchase prescription spec's? I have the current prescription for my spec's but my husband really needs to have his eyes rechecked and to purchase new glasses. Also any indication of prices would be appreciated ?? We are off to Bali in August staying in Sanur. We are thankful for any suggestions. Thanks.

In Jan this year had a pair of readers done at Centro, first on the left called Optik Tunggal. It took three days and where delivered to our hotel.Testing is free or they will use your own script.I claimed them on my health insurance(HBF) and it only actually cost me $50A
Hope this helps

Hi David; Thanks for your reply, it sounds much better than paying $500. At $50 it would pay to get a few pair, especially if you are like me and have a tendency to lose them ! Cheers

We went to Optik Melawai at the big shopping Centre at Tuban (Centro ??) last year . I was most impressed with their modern technology .

We got 6 pair of glasses (frames and lenses) and the price absoutley blew us away..

I highly recommend this place

Thanks Kevin; Yes, the place you are referring to Optic Melawai I believe, is in the Discovery Mall. Going through the Old Forum archives I have noted quite a lot of feed-back regarding the above place..all very positive !! I think that is where we will head to.
Regards, C/C
