Default Honeymoon in June 2011

Good evening all

Right thing is myself and my fiance have been looking around where to have our honeymoon and we think we have decided on Borneo, Bali and Lombok for around 3 weeks in June 2011, so looking around this forum we have alot of experts so im asking nicely for some advice on peoples suggestions on where to go and what to do in Bali and Lombok.

We are planning on about 5 days in Borneo including a trip to turtle Island and then coming down to Bali and Lombok for the last couple of weeks.

Looking forward to your advice

Yours

Aj

Aj,
There are lots of places to visit once you are in Bali and Lombok. It will be totally depends on how many days that you wish to spend on these both islands.
Personally I would suggest you to split your stay in 3 different area while you are in Bali. Lest say 3 days in Kuta/Sanur than another 3 days in Ubud. Also for Lombok, and I will put the "gilis" on my top list place to visit in Lombok.
Hope this helps

Hi Aj,

I work and live in Bali - lots to do!!

There are some lovely and very romantic hotels in an area called Candidasa if you wanted to get away from the tourists and drama of south Bali. If you both dive (or want to learn how) then Bali is a great place to do that and it's a fun bonding experience.

Ubud is an excellent suggestion! And there are some great hotels outside of central Kuta that you may enjoy too - lots of places with spas, good places to eat! Do a special night at Ku De Ta!

Let me know if you want more info on the diving!

My cousin and her husband went to Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay for their honeymoon. They actually had 4 options. The other 3 were Uma Ubud, Como Shambhala Estate at Begawan Giri and Honeymoon Guest House. They actually had a good stay in that place. I'm sure it's one of the best experiences they had.

Hi Aj, if your flight land in Kota Kinabalu then you can consider spending a day trip to Kinabalu Park the Mt.Kinabalu is located, a day at the beautiful island/beach by the city ( abt 15-30mins boat ride). Sapi Island known for best island for snorkeling, then there is Manukan Island, Mamutik Island. All beautiful beach. A day for garama river cruise where you will see the proboscis monkey by the river and evening cruise to see the fireflies. From Kota Kinabalu you may take early flight to sandakan where you can proceed to Turtle Island. If you have more time, you can take kinabatangan tour. if you are lucky you will see pygmy elephant.
