Default Hi matuci77

What are dlls? I can't work out the currency, sorry. Let us know currency and possibly the amount you have in US$'s to help work out your costs and therefore some hotel recommendations. Ubud and Seminyak would be the areas that I would suggest for your stay.

Default Hi

Ah, that's something I've learned - dlls = US$'s, ha!

Perhaps for the first week you could stay in Ubud. A hotel in Monkey Forest Road will place you in central Ubud close to shops, restaurants, Monkey Forest, market and Cultural Centre where they have shows of traditional dancing and plays.

The Komaneka Resort is lovely and upmarket. Also the Pertiwi Resort has different levels of accommodation and is set in beautiful gardens. The Ubud Village is another in Jl. Monkey Forest.

Agoda is an excellent hotel booking site and there is a link on this forum. Perhaps see what they have to offer as their prices are very good. Otherwise check with your travel agent and get some brochures. Airfare and accommodation packages should give you a good deal on price too.

The Elephant Park at Taro, north of Ubud, is worth a visit. It's a wonderful park with elephants from Sumartra which are becoming endangered.

There are many lovely restaurants in an around Ubud. Casa Luna, The Lotus, Murni's, Three Monkeys just to name a few.

In Seminyak, maybe Seminyak Suites, Chez Bali Villas, The Legian or The Oberoi if the budget allows. Again check Agoda and travel brochures.

Restaurants are plentiful and lovely all around Bali. Some in Seminyak are Ku De Ta, Warisan, The Living Room and Gado Gado. Also along the Oberoi Road (Jalan Laksmana) there is a strip of restaurants which are all very popular.

Are you looking for hotel accommodation or a villa? Some places include breakfast in the cost which is a bit of a bonus so you don't have to go out first thing in the morning to eat or otherwise pay a big price at your hotel for a basic breakfast.

What sort of things do you enjoy to do? Have you been to Bali before or other parts of Asia? What level of accommodation are you wanting? Bali has everything from basic $25-30 a night losmens to luxury villas.

I hope this helps get you started. If you find a hotel you like the look of perhaps you could ask for information on the forum to get some feedback.

Default From Agoda

I thought these places looked very lovely and price less expensive than those I've mentioned in Seminyak.

Mutiara Bali Villa and Spa, $165US/night.

Mutiara Bali Boutique Resort Villa, about $70US/night (sorry didn't note the rate)

The Club Villas - oops forgot to write the rate again but around $150/night.

All are well located.

Some of the others I mentioned are considerably more expensive unless a package deal offers better value.

Oh and by the way, congratulations on your forthcoming wedding.

There are a lot of must visit places in Bali for visitors. Bali’s temples are one of the main attractions. The nine directional temples are most prominent one. Bali is the paradise for beach lovers, in which Jimbaran Bay is the safest beach for swimming. Yes never forget to visit Bali Bomb Memorial as well. Bali is well known for its high class villas with top class services. So I am opinion, you should rent a villa to make your honeymoon remarkable.

Smile honeymoon villa

i suggest you in ubud for the first trip u in bali, because ubud is famous place to see real art and balinese culture, and for your next days maybe i can suggest you to stay arround seminyak its close to the beach, restaurant, entertaintment place, and shopping shop. For honeymoon couple im sure you need privasi place to stay, there are a lot of villas arround seminyak or kerobokan with private swimming pool, and you can talk and nego the price direct to the owner.
And your honeymoon day will be perfect.HAPPY HONEYMOON

g'day matuci77
congrats on your upcoming and wedding and honeymoon
ubud is a great spot to start with, also the north of the island like lovina/amed and candidasa are great areas to stay.my wife and i spent our honeymoon in amed at the anda amed hotel on the side of a hill overlooking the ocean, fantastic[look at website]very quiet and relaxing.
lovina is a good area as well for chilling out.
we used to stay kuta/legian side but too busy now,so we stay in sanur now[more laid back] but still close to the action

well it's very nice to you for have honeymoon in bali..
i'm suggested to you to choose ubud area..
it's have cool climate..but in october i'm afraid it's rain season..
but it's romantic too if you have candle light dinner in private villa's with rain drops all over you..
but if you like ocean..and many attraction..maybe you can book some villa in seminyak or nusa dua..usually villa in there offer you free transport from your villa to kuta..
well, have a nice honeymoon in bali..

suksma..

bali seeker..
