Default Any info on Bali Mandira and Garuda flights

HI - looking at staying at Bali Mandira end of July. Myself, my hubby and our 7 year old. Don't want to stay in the tower - can anyone suggest what rooms are best and room number if poss. Basically need to fit extra bed in room and want to be able to move about!
Also - any experiences with flying with garuda. I have blackbanned Jetstar since they took 19 weeks to refund over $2500 of my money when we cancelled flights to Bali at Christmas.

Personally I would not fly with Garruda even if they paid me! Well, maybe I would do internal if I had to but definitely not long distance.

We did it some years ago before they had their financial problems and the staff were miserable and unhelpful, the plane rattled and vibrated (this was a 747) and I amost kissed the ground when we got off!

It may be better now but I would take a lot of convincing.

Unhappy The EU

has just banned all Indonesian airlines from flying into the EU because of very pronounced safety concerns, they say airlines like Garuda are highly unsafe. Be warned.

Default Bali Mandira

Hi tjg,

Stayed at the Mandira about a dozen times so please consider this advice.

Go for the tower wing. The bungalows are too small for a queen and a single bed, you wont be able to squeeze yourself between the beds. The tower wing is so much bigger. We had a queen bed, two cots and it was much more spacious. Had plenty of room to move about.
