Default Travel Insurance

Hi there,

I seem to recall late one night there was a recommendation for travel insurance for forum members? I am in the process of moving house and am trying to book travel insurance. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Kind regards,
Carolyn

If you have insurrance at home you might consider getting DAN scuba diving insurance very cheap and it has provissions to get you home if you are out of country and something bad happens regardless of if it is water related or not.

When I travel in South East Asia I use my credit cards as travel insurance as most of the things that you might need are very cheap to fix in Asia. In Europe or America make sure that you have good insurance as it is very expensive to fix things there

Default A few recommendations

Here's a link to Travel Insurance Direct, which I think Mark recommended.

http://http://www.travelinsurancedirect.com.au/

Also, World Nomads gets a few mentions.

We tend to go with QBE as I'm a lazy sort of person and it was easy when already traveling Qantas.

If you want to check out the discussion on the forum, go to 'Search' at the top of the Forum Home page and put in "Travel Insurance".

Good luck. My dinner is being dished up - roast lamb, mmmm - must go, don't want to upset the chef, ha!

Talk soon

Catherine
