| | Going to Bali for the first time =]
Hello all =)
Going over seas for the first time this year (20th b-day pezzie to myself =P) and decided to go to Bali =D. Will be staying in the Dynasty Resort in South Kuta from the 6th of November until the 16th. Wondering if anyone else will be in Bali around this time? im going with a friend but bigger groups are always more fun and i assume safer =). Any tips on fun things to see and do over there? I've got a lot of tours and cruises i want to go on, but this is mainly tourist stuff, wondering if there's things only people who have been there a few times know of?
Looking forward to reading reply =D

I'll be in Thailand around the same time, but no Bali. I've actually never been, so hoping to hear back about your experiences :)

and i also read the Dynasty Resort is going through major renovations on all rooms (except the superior - the one my friends staying in =P) and on the rest of the site for the next few months, so ill arrive once that's all done =]

Bali Safari Marine Park is great.
I also know a honest, reliable, friendly, english speaking driver if your interested. I often advertise his services on ebay to help him and his family, as well as vouch for how great Made is:)
I have been to bali 5 times, and spent 2months there last year with my kids. Hope to live there next year.
Bali is the Best

Personally, Kuta is not for me, unless you like being surrounded by drunken Aussies watchign TV !
Prefer the real Bali, not the sterile South, but that's what makes everyone different. Enjoy your holiday

Yer i would love his details, so with a driver are they like a taxi with the same person each time or do you hire them for the day? dose his car have aircon =P??
Well being a drunken auzzy myself i dont think i would mind being surrounded by other drunken auzzys, but am planing alot of trips to remote parts of bali, and alot of really good tours.
the driver would know good places to go? and things to do?

We're currently in Candidasa, originally booked for the week but extended for a few more days. The place is very relaxed with stunning scenery nearby.
Lots of great restuarants all within walking distance.
Weather is fine and beaut BTW...and has been these past few weeks.

Bali is known for it's picturesque beaches. The time chosen by you is 'on season time' and you will surely see many like you enjoying Bali. Some of the must visit beaches of Bali are Kuta, Nusa Dua and Sanur beaches. Other places that should be on your list are Ubud hills. Also do see the sunset at Tanah Lot, 1 hour drive from Capital Denpasar.
