Default Dreamland - Surfing, Accomodation and Getting there??

Hi!

Next week I will head down to Bali for 4 days basicly trying to improove my surf skills. I heard dreamland should be pretty good.

But I have a few questions and hope somebody can help me: ;)

- I arrive evening around 6 pm. Is it possible to find a taxi\ motorbiketaxi from the airport to get there? how much will it cost?

- Can you reccomend a budget hotel or hostel on dreamland beach?

- Is it possible to rent surfeboards there? If not, where is the best place to rent it?

- Except Kuta beach and dreamland, are there any other good surfing spots? would consider my level between beginner and medium. surferd maybe 20 times so far in my life...

Thanks so much in advance for you tips!!

Cheers, Toby

Dreamland Beach - Bali Surf Locations

Here is a link to Pro Surf School which should give you a lot of information and hopefully answer your questions.

Good luck and BE CAREFUL!

Yes, you can get taxis at the airport and as you are arriving at 6pm perhaps you could look for somewhere to stay in Kuta for the night and then go to Dreamland the next day. I'm not sure about accommodtion at Dreamland. Taxi will not be expensive and you can change money at the airport.

If you google Dreamland Beach Bali Accommodation you might find a list of places to stay.

Default Dreamland

There is no budget accommodation right on Dreamland beach. There is a Western International Condotel but that isn't cheap.

I would suggest that you might be better of either in Bingin or Uluwatu a little further on from Dreamland and there are plenty of accommodation options there. They are also close enough for you to get to Dreamland very easilly.

I wouldn't bother getting a bed in Kuta just for the night either. Its only about 20/30 minutes from the airport to Dreamland depending on traffic. So I would skip Kuta and head straight to your final destination, wherever you decide that is.

Hi Tobi
Dreamland is now fully commercialised and not the idealic beach it was years ago. If you want to stay on the Bukit out that way it might be better to go to the next beach 'Bingin' which offers a range of accom from very expensive on the cliff top to more basic and very cheap rooms on the beach. Bingin is a perfect wave but gets crowded as do all the breaks at this time of the year. Be careful on the lower tides the reef is hungry for flesh
