2 week trip to Bali

We're planning a 2 week trip to Bali in August and I was hoping to get some advice. We love beautiful beaches and a chilled out social scene. Having done some research we plan to split the 2 weeks between Jimbaran, Dreamland and Lombok. I just wondered if people who know Bali think this is the right kind of choice - also is it worth actually staying in the Dreamland area or just visiting for a day trip? Any help would be really appreciated. Oh final question - will it be eay enough to get the fast boat to Lombok without prior booking.

Jimbaran and Lombok sound great but Dreamland only for the day sounds better. Try Ubud for some nights, cooler at night and totally different, try Hotel Tampjuhan.

You don't mention how long your Lombok leg will be but either way it will be a rushed trip. Certainly try and include Ubud in your itinerary.

Fast boat to Lombok no problems.
