Comment about July weather. I found last July to be the coldest weather I had experienced in Bali. I recommend to anyone visiting Bali for the first time, do not stay in Kuta. We head straight for Ubud every time and satellite out from there to the north, north west and east, but seldom south to Kuta etc. unless we need to visit a leather tailor or such.
