Question Sanur, Legian or Amed?

Hi all
First time to Bali, got a great deal on flights, using as stopover for 5 nights only to go to Aus. Question. Am after nice relaxing but authentic time. Thought Amed but is it too far and too hot? Looking for authenticity and real Balinese hotel and culture. Maybe Sanur? Or Legian? Not keen on big hotels. Advice? Thanks!

Default Welcome Simon and Julie

It may be a bit difficult to answer your quesiton without knowing what budget you were planning on spending per night and what your minimum requirements are eg fan/aircon beach/rural pool/spa etc.

Also would you consider a Villa as an option rather than a hotel?

You have selected a great place for a Holiday. Get back to us with a price per night and some other requirements and I am sure someone can point you in the right direction.

Larry

Default Ubud

would be my recommendation too, if authentic is what you are after. Amed's resorts and beaches are great but Ubud's where the action's at if you want to be near the arts and crafts, the dances and so on.

Hi!

I think a night or two in Kuta after 3 or 4 nights in Ubud. The time in Ubud for relaxation and enjoyment, the time in Kuta so that you know what you haven't missed by being in Ubud

Perhaps that is unfair, so maybe do Kuta first so as not to spoil the end of your stay in Bali.

There are other places in Bali really worthwile staying such as Pemuteran, Amed etc. but for a first visit I would say Ubud.

If you want coastal and near some action maybe consider Seminyak.

All IMHO

Regards,

David

Hi

We have stayed at the Segara Village in Sanur and enjoyed it. Right on the beach and nice and quiet and relaxing. Easy walking distance to good restaurants and shopping. The website is worth a look at. I think rates are around $75 per night . If you are looking for a faster pace consider Kuta or Legian areas.

if you need place for relaxing and quite, candidasa at karangasem is perfect place for you
sanur has great beach but the life is not really bali, it`s getting modern
