Unhappy Work on Tuban Beach. Help...

Please can anyone tell me where they are up to with the work thats going on at Tuban Beach.

I dont know what there doing to it , only that I have read some awful hotel/beach + noise reports on various travel sites. Most are a few months old.
We are due to go to Bali Garden Hotel in three weeks time and are concerned about night noise. Apparently the big trucks have access to the beach via a lane next to the Bali Beach Hotel.
Does anyone know if this is still happening?
Is the beach accessable to the public?
And I beleive there is a crematoriam next door .. is this a problem we should worry about?
I appreciate all input. Thank you.. J.J.

There is always traffic noise on the main road in Tuban but couldnt hear it last year at the Bali garden hotel.

The new pools are in and they lead to the beach.

I cant remember a cremetorium next to the hotel but they did burn off rubish on the beach just right of the hotel.

There is a cemetery on the beach side but its not easy to notice and its been there for years.

I havent heard of any works going on where the BGH is but could be wrong!

Hi Den thanks for the reply. It sort of puts my mind at rest.

I have been reading some awful blogs about the BGH and works going on at night along the side of it.(main road to beach) We are going there for new year and were concerned.
But we are determined to enjoy the holiday - no matter what.
Seeing as I have only had the one reply (yourself) then there cant be much to worry about.

Thanks again.... J.J.

I think the works were on th BGH itself when they put in the new pool on the beach and renovated the old pool, but works are well finished although I heard that they are refurbishing some of the rooms!

The BGH is great for walking on the beach either direction, left to the shopping mall and right to Kuta, without being on the somtimes busy main road.

The rooms were a little bit tired last time I stayed but still good for the price when you consider the extra it costs for the other beach front hotels along that strip.

The security is plentyful with armed gaurds patroling the beach entrance at night.

Have a nice holiday.

Default We were there in September

and there were works going on at the beach in front of BGH. Heavy equipment (caterpillar's, excavators, trucks etc) out the front of the hotel on the beach but could not hear any noise in the hotel at all. Maybe finished by now. Looked like they were putting in huge pipes.
