Bali Palm iPhone Apple Mac Indonesia

I haven't posted here for quite some time but on my most recent trip to Indo whilst in Java I have a major drama with a couple of iPhones and was ver concerned about repair.

Now normally I would open the phone and fix at home as I have the proper tools and info but of course on the trip did not.

My son has an iPhone 6 plus which of course looks identical to my new iPhone 6S Plus and when he had no coverage I rang Vodafone and the rep said please change the SIM ie: swap them and so I took the SIM tay out of both without taking much notice as at a glance with an assumption they were identical. Put my SIM tray in his phone which needed a little push to lock in .... big big mistake as the SIM trays are actually different sizes with different latching mechanism....

So I have my SIM and tray in his phone of course stuck ...immovable
and his SIM tray of course to big to fit my phone so dilemma one of us to be uncontactable and that wasn't going to happen so the procedure begins to find a reputable Apple dealer which I managed but none knew anything about iPhone or repairing same especially iPhone 6 or 6S Oh tidak ada banyak begitu sini Pak the usual answer.... desperation and confusion mixed with frustration and anger ensured but my own stupid fault for not paying attention.

Anyway to the point, if some such dram should occur to anyone else I would like to direct them to the wonderful people at iSolutions Surabaya so that frustration should not deplete you in the Indo humidity.

These people were so incredibly helpful and honest I almost forgot I was in Indo and although not Apple authorised and warranty will be gone if they open your product the Tech is Apple qualified they say.

So 5 minutes and a mere Rp50,000 and all good done professionally promptly with proper tools for the operation.

I highly recommend these people for Apple product in Indonesia.

I hope this is helpful to someone after the long procrastination

PS I don't know why the forum is calling me a newbie I've posted here many times over my time living on Lombok and after maybe because I haven't posted in quite some time.
