Bali Palm New Years Eve in Bali

Hi,

My husband and arrive in Bali on New Years Eve this year and are staying in Jimbaran Bay. Does anyone know of anything happening around Jimbaran on New Years? We arrive quite late (10.10pm) so don't think we'll have time to dash in to Kuta/Legian before the 12 o'clock countdown once we've checked in etc.
We are staying at the Puri Bambu.

Cheers!
Mel

Wink Puri Bambu

Is such a great little hotel, you will love it I am sure. It is only a short walk to the beach from there and I am sure you will not want for much past Jimbaran Beach (Restaurants) and the view of everyone's festivities.

Can't help you with NYE, but I stayed at Puri Bambu for 5 weeks in 2006 and absolutely loved it. Am sure you will too.

watch out for stray fireworks! You can buy them on the streets for NYE and a lot of them miss fire, we see loads of people get burned 2 years ago on Kuta beach on NYE.

Although we bought loads and let a few off,we stopped as it was getting a bit dangerous,I put a bag of them in the sea water to make them wet and unusable.

Everybody is letting fireworks off on the beach so be mindful that there are a lot of idiots who dont think about other peoples safety.

Default My Suggestion

Would be to just dump your bags in your room and hit the beach straight away.

There is bound to be a party or twenty happening and just join in the celebrations.

Cheers Larry
