hey i have been to bali and nusa lembongan 12 times but never to lombok.this is our first time that we have travelled with our 18month old son so a but wary about things now.have spoke to a doctor that said definitely not to go to lombok due to a big problem with malaria.has anyone travelled with infants to lombok?any info would be great as we go in 19 days!!!!!!!

i am from austria and I had been to lombok for more than one year (2001). I would recommand not to go to lombok without malaria prophylaxe. if you don´t go to the jungle (sedang gile waterfalls) it should not be a problem to go to lombok with infants. but please keep away from jungle and ponds without running water (I hope you know what I want to tell you).

I will visit Lombok again next year with my 3 and 5 year old children. I will live in Puri Saron hotel again ...
