117$ US by Fedex, what a shock.

Unless you are living on the top of a remote mountain you will most likely be able to buy Bali kopi in an asian grocery store near where you live. We have many such stores in Australia so I'm guessing the USA does too.

I'm not sure what your laws are regarding sending food in the mail however you might like to check in case there are any restrictions. Coffee may be perfectly ok.

There only a limited number of choices:

Fed Ex...too expensive

Normal Post - only the local post office will be able to tell you the rates for the choices they offer. Air mail of course being the most expensive.

Shipping - find someone who is sending a cargo to USA and ask if you can put it in their container. This being a rather extreme and possibly difficult exercise, however would be the cheapest method. You could perhaps start by contacting some bali shipping agents to see if they can help. You might also contact Garuda or whoever is flying your way and see what a 3kg.(?) airfreight package would cost.

Either way, the cost is going to be considerably more than the value of the coffee.

I'll do a quick web trawl and see if I can find any details regarding postal charges. If I find anything I'll send another message.

Good luck

Catherine
