WOW, great forum! I've booked some flights to Bali on Jetstar from 6-15 April 07 out of Sydney. Wow, that outbound flight is already sold out since I booked it 24 hours ago. I'm considering and negotiating rates with the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel. I (mother person) am taking my two sons (17 and 14). I have been to Bali on numerous occasions over the years since 1979, the last being 1998. So you can say I have seen the changes take place. The boys have never been. I miss Bali! Sooooo after overcoming a few fears, I've booked the flights. Question regarding hotel safety. Is it wise to request a ground floor room at this hotel. I guess I like the freedom of being able to walk outside from my room, rather than through hotel corridors, however, I still have fear, and our safety is the utmost priority. I'm considering a Palace Club Suite (yes, decadent....but well deserved) so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also is INDR400,000 a fair price for a car/driver-guide per day (no fixed hours - any time of the day/night) for a new air-cond Kijang SUV complete with 2 TV monitors for DVD's, all inclusive of petrol, parking fees, sarongs, cold drinks, no hidden charges he says, except admission prices to attractions, food and meals.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me. It's been a while since I've been there, and I'm not as rebelious/adventurous (or wild!) as I as back in 'the olden days' (as my kids would say) LOL and I really want to make this special for my boys. Thanks!
